To keep our costs down and make our services as accessible as possible, we conduct Home Assessments remotely.

If you would prefer an in-person visit, please state your preference when you make a booking. Please note that we are not able to provide this service state-wide and we will charge an additional fee to cover travel costs. 

The home assessment is paid up front. 

If we project manage your upgrades, we ask for a 50% deposit before works commence and payment of the balance after they are complete.

1. Once the home assessment is complete, we will send you a report within a week.
2. From there, you can decide if you'd like to continue working with us, or use the report to continue by yourself.
3. If you'd like to continue to work with us, we move to the next steps depending on your timeline.

We do our research! We proactively look for suppliers that people speak highly about. Then, we subject them to a vetting process to make sure they are established, financially solvent, have a good reputation, and that they supply and install reliable and high quality products. 

After they pass our checks, we invite them to partner with us. 

It's also important to note that Energy Freedom Homes has a working relationship with our suppliers, meaning we’ll be alongside you and advocating for you as your upgrades are quoted, planned, scheduled and completed.

You are under no obligation to use us for project management and installation. You can get quotes from other installers after receiving your home assessment report or project plan if you wish. 

However, if you choose to engage installers that we haven't pre-vetted, we will not be able to provide you with support as part of our service.

We charge an up-front fee for home assessments to cover the costs of our assessors and creating the assessment report.

Where you would like us to co-ordinate installations, we will invoice you directly for the works. We factor in a project management fee for this service, but this is offset by discounts that we have negotiated with our suppliers.

No, but we can understand why you might be confused! 

For those of you without any context, Beyond Zero Emissions (an incredible climate-focussed think tank) released a great book in 2015 called The Energy-Freedom Home. We reviewed it here. 

Our business is not related to Beyond Zero Emissions. We just happened to independently arrive at the conclusion that Energy Freedom Homes is a fantastic name without realising they used it about seven years ago!
